Status of Individuals

This module explains the importance of status of individuals within the IHL framework. It addresses the difference between international and non-international armed conflict in so far as the former - but not the latter - contains combatant and prisoner-of-war status. It introduces the importance of the "combatant's privilege" and what this means in terms of status under IHL.
