The Association Excellence Awards 2018, Finalist

PHAP Credentialing Program Shortlisted for Association Excellence Awards 2018

PHAP has been shortlisted as a finalist in the upcoming Association Excellence Awards 2018 in the “Best Certification Programme” category.

We are happy to announce that PHAP has been shortlisted as a finalist in the upcoming Association Excellence Awards 2018 in the “Best Certification Programme” category. These annual awards recognize the hard-won achievements, best practice, and excellence of professional membership organisations and associations.

The “Best Certification Program” category recognises an association conceived Certification Programme that has succeeded in raising standards within a particular sector. As the only sector-wide association of professionals in humanitarian action, the creation of the PHAP Credentialing Program has been an important milestone in strengthening the opportunities for recognizing the professionalism of humanitarian workers. PHAP members and practitioners in its wider network have come together to create the first stand-alone certification program to provide robust methods for certifying the competencies of all those working to provide assistance and protection to disaster-affected people around the world.

Through the PHAP Credentialing Program certifications in Applying Humanitarian Principles in Practice (AHPP), Understanding the Humanitarian Ecosystem (UHE), and International Legal Frameworks for Humanitarian Action (ILFHA), we continue to provide an opportunity for humanitarian practitioners in all parts of the sector to demonstrate their professional competencies and dedication to their work. Later in 2018, following the hard work of hundreds of practitioners, we will further expand the program with certifications in Cash Transfer Programming (CTP), Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), and Humanitarian Needs Assessment (HNA).

The award winners will be announced on 12 October 2018.
