PHAP and ICVA webinar on People with Disabilities in Humanitarian Response
On 26 February, PHAP and ICVA will organize a webinar together with the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) secretariat and the Reference Group on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action to introduce the recently published IASC Guidelines on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action as part of the learning stream on navigating change. Join us for this interactive webinar as we discuss how these guidelines can be implemented in practice and hear from the three interim co-chairs of the Reference Group, as well as one of the NGOs that have been implementing the guidelines in their organization.
This online session will provide an introduction to the development and content of the Guidelines, and discuss the practical considerations for better delivering to and involving persons with disabilities in crisis-affected communities. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from the speakers and pose follow-up questions, as well as engage actively in the conversation and share their own experiences in this area.
