Upcoming Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW) Event Series on Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)

Join the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) and PHAP this May 2022 for a series of events on Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)

On 3 May, as part of the 2022 edition of the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW), the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) in collaboration with PHAP is organizing the first session in a series of events on the current state of accountability to affected populations (AAP). Progress has been made, but the humanitarian system – as a whole – is not accountable to the communities it serves. Join us for three webinars and a hybrid high-level event on how we can improve different aspects of accountability, bringing together global and local perspectives.
Building on the input received from participants and panelists in the 2021 event series on AAP, we will address the following topics:

  1. Towards collective AAP approaches at country level (3 May 2022, 9:00-10:30 CEST)
  2. A standardized approach to complaints and feedback mechanisms (6 May 2022, 9:00-10:30 CEST)
  3. Accountability to Affected Populations: A leadership commitment (hybrid event, 11 May, 11:00-12:30)
  4. Lessons from the COVID-19 response: The importance of using community-based data in emergency response (19 May 10:00-11:30)
