Geneva 2014 Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy

The Core Professional Trainings are conducted over three full days and serve as unique opportunities for acquisition and refinement of the skills necessary to address contemporary humanitarian challenges. Lectures, case studies, and simulation exercises are integrated into a curriculum narrative informed by legal principles, recent scholarship, contemporary challenges, and current debates. The trainings are tailored to professionals interested in gaining foundational knowledge, developing a strategic perspective, and engaging in exploratory discussions regarding potential responses to emerging legal and policy questions.

The Geneva 2014 Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy (1 - 3 December) will be offered by PHAP and it will be followed by a two-day Geneva 2014 Thematic Workshop on Human Rights Law in Situations of Armed Conflict: Implications for Humanitarian Action (4 - 5 December).

Those attending the Core Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy in Geneva in December 2014 are also encouraged to stay for the two-day Thematic Workshop on Human Rights Law in Situations of Armed Conflict: Implications for Humanitarian Action. If you are interested in staying for the Thematic Workshop, please simply indicate it in your application to the Core Professional Training - there is no need to apply separately for the two events.
