Learning stream on the humanitarian-development-peace nexus by ICVA and PHAP

In the coming months, PHAP will be organizing a new series of live online learning sessions together with the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) on the topic of the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, looking at the interface between, and shared aims of, humanitarian action, development, and peace.

Building on the format of the previous learning streams on humanitarian financing and on humanitarian coordination, these events will focus on different aspects of the so-called “triple nexus” through targeted discussion with experts from the humanitarian, development, and peace building communities working in crisis response situations.

The learning stream is relevant for anyone working in crisis response contexts seeking a stronger understanding of the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, but is particularly targeted to those working in international and national NGOs.

The overall objective is for staff of such organizations to have a stronger understanding of the the policy initiatives related to this concept and the operational implications they entail for all actors involved in crisis response contexts, as well as to allow them to better engage in related policy discussions at the national, regional, and global level.
