Over the past year, the practitioner communities supporting the development of these certifications have been hard at work creating the new and updated certification assessments. Thanks to the contributions of hundreds of subject matter experts as well as the psychometricians involved in the drafting and review, the assessments are now ready to be “beta tested” to ensure that they will serve as a robust and trustworthy mechanism for practitioners to solidify and demonstrate their knowledge, experience, and skills. We are calling on practitioners in all parts of the humanitarian sector to help with the beta testing process either face-to-face or online.
The beta testing is done in person in locations around the world. For those unable to attend one of the available sessions, an online beta testing through "remote proctoring" will also be available. Taking part in the beta testing takes 1 hour per beta test (and taking multiple beta tests is highly encouraged). As a thank you, all beta testers will be awarded one free credit for the official certification assessment for each beta test they complete (value US$65-80 each). We look forward to seeing you in one of the beta tests!
The PHAP Credentialing Program is made possible through the Practitioner Competencies Learning Center, a joint initiative of the Humanitarian Leadership Academy, CHS Alliance, and PHAP working to develop solutions that strengthen competency-based approaches in the humanitarian sector at the individual and organizational level.
