<p><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.6em;">Mamar Merzouk worked for over 20 years in the humanitarian and development fled. He held several positions with national and international NGOs and donors. Mamar worked for several years as Expert and Head of Office for the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Department and Civil Protection (ECHO) in Jerusalem. He chaired the Humanitarian Donor Group in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). He also worked as ECHO Head of Office in Russia, coordinating programs in Georgia, Abkhazia, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, and the Russian Federation. Prior to joinin ECHO, he was Head of Mission of Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in the Philippines and Eastern Europe. While working as Head of Advocacy, Research and Policy Department with Focus Ireland, he served as a member of the Irish Government National Children&rsquo;s Advisory Council and a member of the board of the Irish Refugee Council.</span></p>

<p>Mamar &nbsp;also worked with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in the Gulf region where he&nbsp;set-up NRC presence in the UAE&nbsp;and&nbsp;developed partnership with the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC), namely the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar, in a view to strengthen the relations with donor agencies and charities from those countries.&nbsp;Mamar is currently working as&nbsp;an&nbsp;independent&nbsp;consultant based in Dublin, Ireland</p>
