<p>David Alonzo-Maizlish is an attorney specializing in international humanitarian law who has worked with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) since 2002. He is presently working for the ICRC as&nbsp;<span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: normal;">Coordinator for the Division of Integration and Promotion of the Law&nbsp;in the Near and Middle East and the Asia Pacific Regions. Prior to this, he held the position of</span>&nbsp;Head of Sector for Civil and Social Organizations in the Communication Department of the ICRC, having spent five years in Africa as both a field delegate and international humanitarian law specialist. He has published articles on the intersection of human rights and international humanitarian law, the law of Occupation, and the law of Genocide.</p>
