<p>Anton holds a law degree from the University of Geneva. He practiced namely tax law, corporate law and law of torts in the private industry in Switzerland before serving as legal officer with the District Court of the City of Zurich. He has been working with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for a number of years, where he served as legal adviser to the operations based at headquarters in Geneva, and in various field positions, including as legal adviser for the ICRC&#39;s delegation in Ethiopia, based in Addis Abeba; as legal adviser for the countries of the former Soviet Union, based in Moscow, Russia; as legal adviser for Central Europe and the Balkans, based in Budapest, Hungary; as regional legal adviser for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Mexico City; and as deputy head of the ICRC&#39;s regional delegation for East Asia, based in Beijing, China. Since July 2011 he heads the legal department of the ICRC&#39;s delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories.</p>
