<p>Christine Byron has been a lecturer in law at Cardiff University since September 2008 and teaches public international law, human rights and criminal law at undergraduate level and international humanitarian law at postgraduate level.&nbsp; She was formerly a lecturer at the University of Manchester from 2003-2008.&nbsp; For over a decade she has also been a guest lecturer on short courses for military and humanitarian professionals, both in the UK and abroad.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.6em;">Christine presents regularly at conferences both in the UK and abroad, most recently on protection from sexual violence in armed conflict in the American Bar Association 2013 Fall Meeting.&nbsp; She has published on international humanitarian law issues such as child soldiers and on the interaction between human rights and international humanitarian law.&nbsp; Her monograph War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court was published in 2009 by Manchester University Press.</span></p>
