<p style="font-family: arial, hevetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(80, 83, 103); font-size: 12px; line-height: normal;"><b>Elena Lucchi</b>&nbsp;studied International Relations, Human Rights and Humanitarian aid and then worked for five years with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as a Protection Delegate and then as Head of Sub-Delegation in Colombia, Rwanda and South Sudan (2000-2004). She then worked as a Humanitarian Affairs Specialist with M&eacute;decins Sans Fronti&egrave;res (MSF) designing and implementing advocacy strategies on topics such as women&#39;s access to reproductive health care in Haiti or vulnerabilities of IDPs and refugees in the Caucasus, Bangladesh and Darfur.</p>

<p style="font-family: arial, hevetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(80, 83, 103); font-size: 12px; line-height: normal;">Elena conducts research and policy analysis on violence in urban settings; present challenges to the principles of humanitarian action; children and violence; forced migration; and minimum protection standards. She is currently specializing in urban settings and urban violence and&nbsp;has published several papers on these topics. She currently works as an independent consultant on humanitarian affairs.</p>
